Seconded. Particularly liked how Gaz let me get to within 50 meters top of a climb before he breezed past like I was a sad old lyrcra clad roadie. So, my cover blown, a bit. Not very surprising after that to see him rocket down one of the final loose and rocky gullys like he was on a skeleton bob. 29ers still rule apparently, as long as they are built like the forth rail bridge :-) A very great day out, thanks Gaz for your company/lesson in how to climb/descend. You'll do quite well when you're as old as the rest of us ;-)

That last descent was one of the funniest things I have seen ...Graham and Dave not exactly going slow on what was a pretty severe but very rocky drop..both level pegging but picking their lines on either side of the track ..then Gaz out of nowhere going straight through the middle of them like a steam train on speed smashing his way through baby head rocks and re-grading them to gravel ... I couldn't say for certain ..but it looked to me as if D&G were so shocked that they got a wobble on ..made me laugh anyway...

A few pics ...didn't take too many yesterday.. Introducing ..L to R Gramish 29er, Jean , Davet ..Sir Gaz of Burton..wot can't speak proppa like we wos teached but eez a canny lad like That effin Roman Road from point 3 on the map ..doesn't look like much but after a steep Tarmac climb following a cuppa in Bainbridge ..this thing was gradually up and never ending I love NYD...scenery , wall ..it was hard but I stopped shy of resting a bike against it Apparently Gaz doesn't like gates ..this is him after refusing to stop for a one that was shut ... Semer water below ...in the middle ground is the wedding cake shape of Addlebrough which we contoured earlier in the ride... You ate the last one Tasker ..this ones mine .. Damn ..I had my eye on that ..an unhappy famished Gramish... Jean having just learnt that we have to climb out of the other side of the valley decides to throw her bike over the edge ... Bait time at Semer water ..I was only being polite when I offered Gaz half my Sarnie ! Out of shot is a silly old bint swimming in the lake ..I think she must have got a bit mixed up over the name ..it's well known that something similar to Semer water is good for the skin .... Wonder what Daves looking at behind those shades .... Oh ...! I should hastily add that Dave & Jean are a couple .... Once again ..thanks to all !

Great day out in those Dales, and the weather couldn't of been better planned. Good to meet Gaz who pointed out I needed a new rear tyre (you didn't get a pic did you?) but there's still plenty of tread on some of it (sides). It was most impolite to buzz past me and Grum at warp speed through that bolder field at the end but respect for showing us how it's done . As always a good ride is made great by the people you go with and it certainly was great, many thanks and as usual thanks Neil for getting us organised again.

Lol was good to catch up with you guys .. in my defence I did apologie to you guys at the bottom .. I just wanted to get to the gate first so I could hold it open for ya But it was a lovely rock garden and I did chuckle to my self as I passed the pair off ya ..

Great pics, that Roman Road from Bainbridge goes on forever (have walked it a few time to Semerwater) and a good walk/cycle down to Semerwater.
