This might not yet go ahead ! We are just talking about it and a decision will be taken later in the week ..should know by Thursday evening .
The Northumbrian Tribes are stirring and are set to raid the Yorkshire Dales ..I've an old route map from MBR ..(November 2002 to be exact ) for a terrific route coming in at 27 miles ..
Man your defences ..or better still come and join us IF...it goes ahead it's an up and down route with some stiff climbs ..but equally some cracking descents ..will confirm on Thursday latest if it's going ahead ...

Well this has been given the nod ..so Dave , Jean, Graham & myself will be heading down on Saturday for a near as dam it 10.00 am start . If anyone wants to join they are more than welcome it's a great ride with a little bit of everything thrown in ..although we are shaving the initial road climb off ( effin hate Tarmac) saving our legs and the first 3.5km....by dropping all bikes equipment and a rider at the start of the rough stuff which is en-route to Buckden ..then ferrying back up the road in my car to the start after parking the other car to reverse this routine at the end . ..so why go to all this trouble I here you ask ..well the final grassy drop back to Buckden at the end of the ride is a cracker and not to be missed !   |

Well great day nice ride , on this little loop quite xc with some nice descents some good long climbs as well not going to mention the gates lol .. was as good to put faces to names off here great bunch of peeps Few pics to follow ..  Hodgy you will find the bike goes better if its the other way round  First climb up ... Nice warm up ...  Ok ok which way are we going .... Err not sure ..   The old roman road that went on for ever ...  Neil catching us guys up  Just come down off that little hill was a nice descent ... More so as I had took the stream side down made for a slippy ride ..  One of the old beast the more I ride it the more I love riding it just point it down hill and away she go's |

Clear blue skies belied the fact that when we stepped out of our cars it was bloody freezing..with a stiff wind ..not having an interpreter didn't help when that chap from Burton turned up ..but somehow we muddled through .
It was a great ride ..and the clear blue skies showed the Dales off in all their glory ..some really stiff climbs ..but some cracking rocky descents .
Myself , Dave ,Graham & Jean ..would just like to echo what Lowcogger said a few rides ago ..Sir Gaz of Burton is a complete and utter con man of the highest order and showed us all a clean pair of heels on both the climbs and descents all day ..plodder / bimbler ..he doesn't know the bloody meaning of the word ..and least when I say I'm slow ..I mean it !
To make up for that though he is a top bloke ..and we all enjoyed his company ...
Thanks to all for a cracking day ...look forward to the next one !
Edit : I will stick some pics up tomorrow ..there is a chinese meal with my name on it right now!
