I'm after recommendations for spare batteries for a Hero 2 if anybody can help? I don't want to buy some that only last 10 minutes so if you have a battery you know to be good, let me know. Also, does anybody know the max GB size memory card the Hero 2 will take? I'm also after a chest mount & helmet mount etc. Are the Gopro ones the best to go for or are the Ebay specials just as good? Thanks in advance for any help

I've heard that the cheaper ebay chest mounts are just as good as my genuine gopro item. Not sure about max size of sd card but yiu want something like a class 10. My standard battery gives me ample recording time but thats partly due to me not switching the godamn camera on in the first place have you bought a camera yet? If not and you want one for snowden weekend you can borrow mine if you like.

I've got one mate, thanks anyway.
Thought that now I get about a bit more, I might actually have something to film with it.
I'll take a punt on an eBay special chest mount I think.
I know I want at least a class 10 card but unsure if max size. I think it's 32gb but if it's more, I'll get a bigger card. I don't want to buy a bigger card though for it not to work.

I've got a 32Gb card, I can get it about half full on a while day at BPW recording every run. My battery will last half the day though, so I bought the battery backpack to extend it. Just becomes too heavy to be comfortable, so I've bought this: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00M3PAWFI/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_bCjlvb1GJHW2DBought off of a recommendation from a friend.

I've bought a couple of spare batteries for 6.99 each. Gopro ones too.
I'll get a 32gb card I think, should be plenty.
I might get one of those dual chargers though. Can you plug it into a wall socket?

There are ones that will plug into the wall, the one I posted allows you to plug it into a phone socket of PC USB outlet.

Right then, all sorted.
Got the camera, memory card, spare batteries, wall charger,LCD back (came with camera, several mounts including chest mount..
Just need to give it a blast now and set the settings.
I'm thinking 760 @ 60fps?

I've been messing with time lapse function.
I'm thinking of setting it to take a picture every 30 seconds (maximum time) whilst going up Snowdon and video the way down.
The camera is set to 5mp and 'wide'.

Just be aware that on the 'wide' setting if has a fairly pronounced 'fish eye' effect:

Ahhh, i think I'll change it to normal then. Thanks for that.
I do plan on experimenting before we go to Snowdon but getting advice from you lot helps loads.
I think at 5mp, the options for stills are normal, medium and wide.
Maybe try medium?
