Nearly bought a virb as they were on offer for silly cheap - but the shape of the old one put me right off - like a bullet. These new ones are the right shape but you are right, the wrong cost.
I'll stick with me bog standard hero with no frills.

I'll stick with me bog standard hero with no frills. Seems like we have agreed completely on the Garmin. I am really into the Dynamics on the video. Speed, elevation etc however the old one looked like it would do damage on a chest mount and these ones are priced more than a GoPro Hero 4 |
