Not a ride I'm planning as such but rather hoping to tag onto really, if anybody is heading around these parts this Thursday and doesn't mind me tagging on for a guided tour from around 2pm give me a shout.

You made a decision on Snowdon yet John? Also OYB are out round trawden tomorrow night I am going to try and make it away from work on time and get there. Bit of a trek from lakes and across but will take bike to work with me. Is going yo be a nice evening by all accounts.

Sorry Mike I have to pick the kids up from my parents after work tomorrow so doubt Ill make it in time even though it is local. Also been out for a slog up the local hills tonight and Thusday so pushing it a bit in terms of what my knees or the mrs will stand.
A tad undecided about Snowdon now as the last forecast I have seen was for strong gusts from 10am through to 4 of up to 51mph and its supposed to go worst over the weekend. The guys seem a bit uncertain about it as well, it would be a shame to drive the 2.5 hours to get half way up and turn around.
Let me know how you felt after your ride on Wednesday and maybe we can sort a plan out on Thursday for Snowdon or if not maybe somewhere else. I can do Saturday instead if the forecast is better and Saturday morning gels better with the kids.
Just noticed the lads are talking of a 7am start for Snowdon, I would have been okay just about for a 9am start but im not getting up at 4 and leaving at 430. Along with a dodgy weather forecast IM OUT. We could always do Cader idris (supposed to be good in its own right) instead later in summer as a dry run for Snowdon when it can be ridden again.

sorry kirky, working a nightshift so no riding for me.i'd be happy to guide any other time tho when its possible. No probs maybe some other time. I sometimes get a chance to take the bike with me for an appointment and then stop of somewhere a bit different to my usual rides on the way back. Most meeting are down Leicester way so the Peaks are handy on the way back, I will do Cannock one time as well in the near future.
