but only one of them. I took a tumble on a rock garden in wharncliffe back in February and even though I was wearing knee pads I ended up with a groove across my kneecap,kneecap feeling a bit squishy and numb. because it wasn`t giving me any grief,unless I knelt down I`ve just got on with it.until last night. while sitting having my tea I could actually feel it swelling and when I dropped me strides it was like the alien inside my kneecap.it`s now full of fluid,tight as a drum,red hot, sore as fuck and unable to bend my knee. so today instead of the planned ride with matt I`ll probs be spending half of it at the nhs walk in centre in wakefield  I`ve diagnosed myself to have infected bursitis.remedy seems to be having it drained,if I had a needle and syringe I`d do it myself.might try the reverb bleed kit. it`s lucky I wasn`t on the snowden trip,Mrs cogger must have known this was going happen when she said I couldn`t...erm I mean when she said she`d like to spend the weekend with me

Take a flask & sandwiches.maybe even pyjamas ..nhs walk in on a weekend ..good luck !

my local gp surgery have extended hours Monday to Friday with appointments up to 8pm. mrs cogger`s under the impression that they hold Saturday surgery as well but I can`t find any details on their website,i`ll start ringing soon and see what happens. yep.saturday at a walk in centre,how much fun`s that going to be.  |

If you remember we were pushing up a rock garden and I told that that I'd stacked it coming down in the snow? Been toy gp and she's sent me up to a&e for it draining.theres only about 16 in front of me  |

I had an elbow bursitis after a (drunken) fall a few years back and it was feckin agony, you could have fried an egg on it. Had it drained but the skin is now like an empty ball sack - hope that doesn't happen to your knee.
Hope you get it sorted mate.

well,after 3 hours in a&e 1145-1345,i walked out with a course of anti biotics,wtf didn`t the gp give me those at 1015 when she checked me over? grrrr I know exactly what you mean about the heat will,my knee`s just a couple of degrees cooler than the surface of the sun  |

Has the swelling gone down at all ? only slightly mate but it`s still red hot,tight and painful. looks like a couple of days of work at least while waiting for the antibiotics to kick in properly. |

I took a tumble today. Got it all on GoPro so I'll upload it tomorrow for you all to laugh at! Overshot a jump and landed heavily on my right side. Now have a nice chunk of skin missing from my kneecap and bruises and cuts all up my thigh

I got a knee boob like that a few years back, didnt go to the drs or anything, took a long time to settle back down (month) and id get random stabbing pains in it for maybe another 2-3 months. Id go for a second opinion maybe?

I went back to my own gp yesterday as the redness/tenderness was spreading down towards my shin.he doubled the antibiotics from 500mg to 1000mg 4 times a day,there`s now been a massive improvement during the last 24 hours and the pain and swelling is just around my kneecap now. the doc asked if I spend a lot of time on my knees,i said yes,when I`m picking myself up after stacking it on the bike |
