Ok so i had a bike for sale in the past week and advertised it everywhere i could ( that was free ) i really wanted a quick sale and can't be arsed with the E Bay auction, nae patience, so after just a day i was contacted by Bob at www.refreshcycles.com and he made me an offer, not the price i advertised at but it was a figure i had in my head that i would accept, after a few facebook msgs back and forth we settled on a price and when he could pick up, painless and quick and most importantly cash in hand, a real pleasure to deal with, if you have a bike you want to shift and it's in good nick, under 5 yrs old then give Bob a look up

For what I would get for mine ..when the time comes ..it wouldn't be worth selling ..I will keep her as my bit on the side ..and go lie with her in the shed occasionally ! Oh ..then my lad might want to ride her ...

Im going to have a lot of grief when i sell mine! Spent so much on basically upgrading an entry level hardtail. Best option is to split it and sell parts individually. Depending on how much i work this summer, i've got about 10 weeks off college so will have plenty of time to kill, i may be buying a new bike Will keep an eye out on their Facebook page. Seen some proper bargains on pinkbike recently though

Never had an issue selling my bikes, they get looked after, write a nice description and provide decent photo and answer questions promptly always gets me fast sales, never taken longer than 48 hrs to sell a bike on PB. Just needs a realistic price and consider decent offers. I always bump the price up £100 over what I am wanting then when someone offers £100 less and I accept they feel they have got a deal when in fact they got it for the price I wanted, all parties are happy that way.

I met Bob earlier this week and sold my Bandit at a fair price but obviously at a level he can make some money on. Rally nice guy, no quibbling or haggling as Kev said great to deal with.

Only ever sold one (my Cube) that was on pinkbike and went within a week - all about the pricing, IMO. I was happy with the price I got for it too so it wasn't a 'give away'.
Having said that I only wanted £700, I think the more expensive the bike obviously the more exclusive it becomes. Once you get over the grand mark you are competing with brand new bikes so gets tougher. At £700 and below there are plenty of buyers maybe dipping a toe into MTB whereas over a grand it's the more serious (and more discerning) buyer out there.
