I doth my cap to these people, well most of them. I bought a garmin oregon 450 device from gps training almost 18 months ago. it took me a long time to even suspect a problem with the altimeter.after several months of helpful phone calls to them and a lot of trying different settings on rides I 'd done,we eventually decided that it was a faulty device, and was told by gps training to contact garmin uk (based in Southampton) as they are usually very helpful. which I did and the female customer service person there was also very helpful and agreed there seem to be a problem. even tho the device was 6 months out of their warrenty, as a good will gesture they would offer me a discounted price for sending back my device for them to replace it with what I expected to be a used ,possibly scuffed but fully functioning device, for a price of £22. brilliant I thought but after a second call to them to another customer service guy,he pointed out that i'd been quoted the amount of discount and not the proper price. and to be honest I didn't like his attitude and fone manner. so it turned out the price should have been £44 . so anyway I still went ahead with the replacement, I was told it would take 10-14 working days from them receiving mine, for a replacement device to arrive at my house. this morning after less than a week and including a bank holiday weekend I received what appears to be a brand new unused device. so apart from the dodgy fone manner of the second guy, the service from garmin uk has been excellent.......................just thought i'd share
