What a pile of pish!!
I was going to buy an Integra for the new bike but after my Levs 3rd cartridge failure I think i'll give it a miss and go back to a Reverb. For the time being it's back to a normal seatpost as my Lev is in a pile of parts

Reverb are the most commonly sold seat post pn the market, there's a lot more of them about, of course you'll here of more issues with them. But they're still the best post on the market! The KS have a lot of complaints too!

I've had 2 reverbs and never had any issues with them, 1 lev which is on its 3rd major issue, I'm not even going to bother getting it repaired this time

I have 2 reverbs I a year old, and the other 3 years old. Only issue I've had is when I stood the bike upside down and bent the lever.

Here is my Lev now broken down. You can see on the 2nd from right shaft, at the bottom of the shaft there is a large scratch which is causing the cartridge to fail as oil is escaping, there isnt a mark on any other part and all the seals are good. They are actually a piece of piss to work on

That's your fault then for scratching the post You can only speak as you find. You've had problems with the LEV, I had problems with the reverb. So far my LEV has been rock solid and I won't be going back to a reverb.

Anyone tried the lowly RSP Plummet ?, I'm thinking about one as I need 27.2 and at £80 with reasonable reviews it's may be a goer .

Well, it's getting repaired, getting a new cartridge sent to me as well as a new kevlar inner cable so it will pretty much have all new internals. Once it's repaired I think i'll just sell it on

I like the fact that you can work on them too. In truth, there is very little difference in feel between the Reverb and LEV - maybe a little less play in the LEV? but it's minimal. I'm not slagging Reverb for the sake of it - I've just had a bad experience with mine which has put me off for good. Obviously if you've never had an issue with a Reverb - it's a no brainer!

Thats it repaired cost £62 all in, parts needed were a new cartridge/Oil Pressure stick (basically the entire inners of the Lev), kevlar cable, du bush and 2x cable links. I actually think that was quite good value as I was expecting it to be beyond economical repair!
I have to say that both Jungle and Stif were great with advice and with supplying the parts in a reasonable time frame.
I know I said I wouldn't buy another Lev but after realizing how cheep and easy they are to repair I may well just rethink that decision.

Yes, I do like the black version. The LEV I have now is on the Zero and looks good as it matches up with the forks, but it just looked odd on the Chief.
