so 'cutgate monday' is almost here.andy,ste.......? as I say I could add a few options,like starting from landsett or making it a hayfield ride. im easy, or don't mind riding solo if you lads cant make it!

iv just spoke to andy, we're doing cutgate from ladybower starting at 10.30.including a little add-on at the langsett end that iv not done before.
if theres any late takers i'll p.m.you the meeting place ther'll be some of this

Another great day.
Glynn will post pics later although there aren't many.
We added a loop on at the Langsett end which turned out to be crap mainly due to it being on road and an unmarked bridle path incorporating knee deep mud around any gates on an otherwise bone dry ride.
The weather was great and the scenery up to the usual high standard for Glynn's routes.
Knows his routes does Glynn.

another great ride today with andy, apart from the extended loop on the other side of langsett.definately wont be doing that bit again..ever...........ever!.really I was just trying to lure him into falling face first into deep bog   anyway I took more pics than I thought

I think ste made the right decision to call it off after your advice macky. |

A couple of extra snippets.
Shock horror, I was late by a couple of minutes to meet Glynn as I was delayed in Hathersage by a burning car.
As I got to it a Smart for-2 black skeleton (standing on it's hubs as even the rims had burned) was smouldering on the mainroad up to the "surprise".
The owner was drinking a mug of tea provided by a considerate local resident.
When I came past on the way home the council were there setting up to repair the crater and molten tarmac.
I thought the ride hadn't taken much out of me but I've just been for a meal with Mrs W at a posh restaurant.
After sitting for a couple of hours stuffing my face, my legs had stiffened to the point where I could hardly get up.
This meant that I had to pay the bill as I didn't think I was up to out-running the waiters.

Great pics guys I always think cut gate is a hard ride when you have to drag ya bike up out of ladybower, but a wicked single track down towards langsett.. Then a bitch of a climb back up again.. First every peaks ride I did was cut gate and I was on my own thinking wtf have I got my self in to  awesome place .. |

It was probably much worse due to the M62 being closed for 10hrs in both directions from Rochdale, so with that and snake pass shut there was only woodhead to get over that way. |

Very nearly ! My Dad ..is bloody useless when it comes to Christmas and birthdays ..I have an un-opened " frog " light set somewhere ..which if I ever am able to find again would be happy to send your way to keep the dwarfs company ! |
