So I took of the wretched things to top up the Stans. Can I get the rear to sit back on the bead? Can I bollocks. Been pumping away furiously (easy now), beads of sweat trickling down my brow.. Fecking things. Looks like I'm riding on the rim!

I AM VICTORIOUS!
Swore at the tyre a little and it soon sorted itself out.

next time why not unscrew the valve core and inject the fluid with a syringe?

Have to say though that last time even using a syringe mine would"nt re-inflate. Some of the dried up old Stans had got between the bead and the rim so I had to take the bugger off to clean the bead of dried gunk to get it to re-inflate again.

Bontrager have released a pump called the TLR flash charger that should be ok for setting up tubeless tyres. It looks a bit like a normal pump that you use to fill an intergrated canister, then when you reach pressure you pull on a handle and it quickly floods the tyre with air. It was in mountain biking uk, but at £100 and no real review I think we'll be sticking to the compressor at hubbys work.

I spotted this one yesterday, looks to be the same thing but cheaper www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/20449/airshot-tubeless-inflation-system

Oh, thats the airshot. My husband was on about this, but I hadn't seen it before. Seems much more reasonably priced.

£52? sod that for a lark - get some elbow grease behind a normal track pump - just needs a good effort and it'll work.

I've just gone tubeless on my Nukeproof, the worst part was cleaning the old rim tape off the rim. I used gorilla tape cut to the width of the rim and got the valves from decathlon about £8. The stans liquid was the most expensive bit.

Two tyres fresh from the box mounted and tubeless in twenty minutes last night.
The flash charger is worth the 70£ really well built I'm sure it will last for years.
