Hi all
I am off to the Long Mynd on Saturday 11th of July, I though it would be good to get a group down there as its a great day out. The ride itself will roughly follow the loop on the following link www.theedgecycleworks.com/mtbroutes/long-mynd-loop/ (19 miles and 2900ft accent, 3.5hrs car to car).
If however we want to extend it there are plenty of options of new tracks or repeating our favourite decent of the day, here is a map of all the possible trails www.mtb-shropshire.co.uk/content/uploads/map5.jpg
If you have not been before its a quality route with some great natural single track, and if you have i don't need to sell it to you!
As yet no start time has been set, i think we should aim to leave mid morning (10-10.30) allowing the traveling cohort to get there without a pre 7am leaving time, any thoughts?

Sounds great ..but unless I was staying down in the area for a couple of nights ( which I won't be anytime soon ) ..it's too far to travel .
Hope a few take you up on this though ...

Nahh, looks shit. Not really  - if I can persuade jay to drive in exchange for sandwiches and crisps and the Dragon let's me out I'd be up for this. Will yay or nay on the week. |

I will be there, not sure on other people. Hopefully we can get a good group together.
Car park is on Lion Meadow and only a few quid for the whole day, SY6 6BZ should get you close by.
There is a good bike shop just round the corner for any last minute supplies.

Not to worry mate. The trails will still be there another time, will just mean i have to go back again, what a shame!!!!
i am intrigued by cannock and its off piste and stile cop i may have to make a trip over at some point.
