The ride did go ahead as planned, although it was just the three of us. Had a fantastic time and would like to thank Duncan for showing us around. The climbs were hard work and I spent most the day watching my lad Josh and Duncan disappearing into the distance. The descents were amazing especially our last descent of the day the Minton Batch. According to strava we covered just over 18 miles and over 3000ft of climbing. I will try to post up the few photos that I took on the day.

Nice Jan - you had the perfect day for it. I've ridden with Duncan and he is rapid!

Nice Jan - you had the perfect day for it. I've ridden with Duncan and he is rapid! Yes he's fast both up and down, certainly fitter than me and Josh. He was camping Saturday night and his mate was joining him on Sunday for another ride.

I did the MTB Marathon there a couple of weekends back. Some great riding and scenery. Would like to go back and explore a bit more.

Was a great weekend of riding and only just scratched the surface of what is around there. If people want to go back for another trip let me know, i would like to get back there.

I think that was our second descent Glynn. I have tried to post my strava log but not sure how to do it.

yes did it once each day. very fast towards the bottom and the smell of burning breaks by the gate!
i think this is my second favorite bit after the Mintonbatch decent, followed in third by the Jinlye. Although i do want to explore the woods at the south of long mynd as there are lots of off piste trails there that look v. good.
Also stipper stones and wenlock edge look like they have good riding on them as well. another weekend is most certainly in order.
