Almost all of the mud has finally gone, what are usually the most rutted muddy trails on my local hill were the driest I've seen. looking out over Preston direction you could make out the coast. Great night for it, shame about the midgies.

Night time probably the best time right now - don't get me wrong, I love this weather but my ride today at midday at around 29 degrees was very, very tough. It is great but you certainly have to be a bit more careful and make sure you take the right fluids on board.

I agree nice to have the weather but drink is a bugger to get right every time. Been laying kerbs all day then went for a little ride must of lost a few pints the legs just hung on till the end.

It wasn't too humid last night but the temperature can be misleading.
Today for example is going to be a scorcher in the mid to high twenties but humidity is around 50% Friday similar again, sandwhiched in between on Thursday when we dragging ourselves up the calf the temperature is forecast to be only 17/18 however the humidity is hovering around 90% for the duration of the ride. that's pretty bloody high, well be sweating buckets and that's when you need to get the fluids in you. Some high 5 tabs and glucose sachets may be in order.
