I'd say that was really lucky - that tree stump you somehow rolled around was just itching to bust some ribs/shoulders/arms etc. So much luck involved in this sport.

It was completely rotten, so went through rather than into it, total luck like you say. I remember heading towards it in super slow mo thinking i needed to protect my neck somehow. Full face did its job anyway.

Haha true! Annoyingly theres not a mark on me, ive got a swollen moob and a scuffed knee, thats about it, so for the rest of the way round i was mostly just told to stop being a fanny and man up. When I see lads like you Timbo - at speed - smashing yourself into the ground with no knee or elbow pads on, I don't know whether to admire your bravery or bollock you for being daft!
Maybe that's because I'm an old git and have just got an old mans timidity (no pun intended). It does hurt more though once you are past 50.
