Hey guys, Alex here, just getting back into biking after about 8 years and getting fluffy. I'm from sunny Dumfries so got a couple of local trails to my disposal so once I get fitter and won't embarrass myself would like to get involved in group rides ifyous will have me.

Welcome dude! Total opposite end of the island to me!
I wouldn't worry about your fitness on group rides though, any meetups we've had (even though I've only been to one), everyone's be really nice. Actually helped me push harder!
Also, what Jimbo said.

Couple of local trails Alex ? Would say utterly spoilt for choice is more appropriate Do try and get across to Newton Stewart to rekindle my Ayrshire / Galloway roots once or twice a year so might be able to persuade the Northumbrian lot to venture over the border Wouldn't worry too much about your fitness tho - don't want to be too fit for group rides anyhow unless you like sitting by gates for ages and getting frozen while the walkers, sorry mtbers, catch up and you don't need much fitness going down! Suss out the local non trail centre rides if you can and post up on forum

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. Glad to hear my fitness isn't as big a concern as I first thought. I will def branch out of the trail centre stuff and see what I can find and post it up or even better and show you's

Lowcogger There is one thing I've learnt about the weather... If it says it's going to be sunny, it lies and if it says rain... 100% right
Can't say John Henry rings any bells doogs. Two of us from the same area should hit the trails sometime

Two of us from the same area should hit the trails sometime sounds like a plan... drop me a PM when you're planning on heading to Kirroughtree and I will meet up with ya and show the trails.... and I will do likewise when I am heading to Ae-Mabie or Dalbeattie... I will also inform some of the Dumfries lads so that they can join in.. they are a great bunch of Loons... ;-)
