Just had a thought, Marsbar. I live just up the road really from the Premier Inn and I'll be picking Motozulu up for Llandegla. If you don't mind your bike being in bits in my boot, you're more than welcome to hop in with us!? That's assuming you're returning to Rugeley after Llandegla.

My bikes always in bits in my boot anyway. Yeah, I'm staying that night before heading back on the Wednesday. Didn't fancy the 5hr drive home after degla. I'd very much appreciate the lift!

Right - time to get organised - anyone got a suggestion for meet up time? I'm thinking outside the caff at Degla 9.30 to 10? (to allow for traffic). The 3 mile climb starting at 10. This suit everyone?

I booked a day off so I can come on this, YAY!
My LEV dropper broke this week and the only day I can take it to the LBS hopefully for repair (its only a few months old) is Tuesday, I need to get it done before the Ard Rock Enduro on sunday, so will have to bow out, boooo!
Ive never been to Degla, would have come without getting it fixed but don't want to do the endure without a dropper as theres a fair few steep chutes.

Can you not leave your post at the shop and just put a regular seatpost on for Tues? It'll be a bit of a faff but at least you get out on the bike

this looks an awesome ride at degla but I don`t know how it fits in with the regular red route.i know when you get to the top of the 3 mile slog from the car park you can do a left instead of shooting off into the first wooded section but I don`t know if it would lead to this.

It'll just be a matter of connecting your cable to it.

A couple of mates are now coming. They've done the mast run and say it's definitely worth doing. They're gonna show us the way

Thanks for the offer mate however I've already given the lbs the lev and it's been repaired, so I've been using a standard post for a couple of rides. The issue is that it's a pig to route on the scout and the only day I can get to the lbs to pick up the dropper and he'll fit it for me while I wait is Tuesday. I'm busy with work for the rest of the week and got the ard Rock at the weekend and really want it for that. I'll try to get to deglaze again in the near future.

Ok mate, no probs - what was wrong with the LEV anyway - just out of owners curiosity

Ok mate, no probs - what was wrong with the LEV anyway - just out of owners curiosity It was proper knackered mate. After a few weeks it stopped hitting full extension by a 2 or 3cm. Then on a particularly harduos climb I pulled the saddle to get the full extension from that point it would extend big then sag back down by 4 or 5 centre metres so I had to compensate by pulling the seat post out further than normal higher than I could normally be able to reach the pedals but it sagged so I could. The lbs hasn't told me what had gone wrong yet but I'll find out next week.
