I may head to Cannock this Tuesday after an appointment in Lutterworth, would be around 1pm if anybody wants to join me or show me around?
it looks like one of the places that's semi dry so thought I would give it a go for a change.

No problem guys, I'm sure I'll find my way.
Is most of the trail open these days or at least enough to warrant a visit.

Of the marked stuff I think only lower cliff is closed, though I haven't rode the dog or monkey for a couple of months now

Yes just the lower cliff was closed. It was a little wet but stopped raining just in to the ride so not to bad.
After the decision point I enjoyed much of the trails, can't remember the names of the sections, I'm used to like a dozen there seemed to be something like thirty different sections some coming thick and fast with name changes after every 50 metres. The stuff on the other side of the road on the monkey trail was best.
I made the mistake of thinking the two routes were totally seperate and would have all of their own sections so did the monkey trail and feeling I had a bit of juice left in the legs then decided to do the dog to find after the first dullish section or two that most of the others well all of the last 8 or so also make up the end of the monkey trail eg from aunt flow onwards.
