why in hell's name are these parts so damn expensive......
the cheapest I could find was £65 for a bearing set for my auld 2007 Trek Session 10... so.. brainwave... strip the bike down and get the codes from the bearing seals.... and then go online and buy them elsewhere...... nae chance...... it worked out at £117.06 for the exact same bearings....
the six small 24x12x7/10mm bearings worked out at £15.27 EACH!!! add on the cost of the two main pivot bearings @ £12.72...... crazy prices.....
so I thought sod that.... I carefully prised off the outer seals and then cleaned up the race and re-greased them all..... working fine and dandy now..... cheapskate....NO!... just canny with my dosh.... can now go and purchase other bits for the big rig.....

If they're frame specific that might explain it.
Or because you're not buying in bulk.
Or because you're just you and not a company with an account with the supplier.

I need to replace a few bearings myself. This place was recommended to me. I've not got around to looking as yet. Bearings

Just bought a full set (6) of SKF bearings for my Mega from the above company. Came to £35.00 all in. Not too bad!
