Literally 5 mins from my front door ( by car) ..it entails a horrendous road climb otherwise..which depending on time I do or do not do ...
But within 15 mins of riding you can be on trails which no other human has been on for years ..such is the vastness of Kielder Forest.
This area is in the South East corner of the forest ..the mountain bike trails are 18 miles to the Notth
Watsons Walls ..a pretty quiet place to live !
It really doesn't get more remote ...
A cracking little couple of hours riding ..and as you might expect ..I didn't see a soul ..
