I was at bike park wales today and had a very stupid accident on locomotion. The section is very short and brings you back onto sixpod, confused that I had missed something I turned behind me to look back up the track, my right pedal hit a rock and sent me crashing to the floor with the bike. Worse thing is my new sam hill nukeproof grips look a little worse for wear and unlike me wont heal On the upside we did all the reds and blues, except melted welly as it was shut. Got to ride the new trail though, terrys belly and that was quite good.

Ouch! looks nasty that. Think you've learnt your lesson the hard way Kalli. Must admit I don't often bother if doing Cannock (unless I know I'm doing stuff I haven't done before) but for Wales etc - you gotta wear em!. Anyone want my strawberry pop tarts I was halfway through for breakfast? I don't want em now.

Looks bloody painful ( no pun intended ) ...I've only been wearing knee pads for a couple of months now ..and once on and riding you forget that they are there..saved my knees at Grizedale recently too ..I had just been lucky up to that point !

I'm the opposite, my knees have always been ground magnets - which I suppose in a way has been good, as it made me start wearing pads pretty much from the off. Seriously makes me wince when I see riders flying down rock gardens without pads on, I don't care how good you are, it can happen to the best.

Ouch . At least you don't have hairy legs that get all stuck in the blood(well not too hairy ) On a lighter note , what did you think of BPW ?

Haha, put the photo on facebook and three people thought it was my husbands leg:'-( . Bike park was was great, could have warned me about the drop onto a470, just asumed it was the same as the one onto vicious valley, for a few heart pounding seconds i thought i was going to die..... sort of reminded me of a faster flowing b-line. Think vicious valley was my favorite. The new terrys belly was good, very fast flowing if you like speed and long, part was down was a sign saying "take a break, tiredness kill" like on the motorway, thought they were being funny, but there was a rest point just after!!!

I don't wear knee pads, never have.. Though, at a place like BPW, I probably would.
