As the title suggests, I need to insure my HT ..
I had a policy with protect my bubble already because of a loan bike scheme I took part in. Called them today to change it over to my cinder cone, ran into an issue.
I bought my locks from halfords, however not thinking that I'd need them, I threw the receipts. PMB said that it would make a claim invalid if I could not provide proof of purchase for the lock (What if you've had the same lock 10 years? Doesnt make sense to me)
So my question is, is this normal insurance policy?
Could anyone suggest another provider?
Thanks !

Do you need a specific bike insurance? Can you not add the bike to your home insurance policy?

I only had receipts for 2 of my 3 locks (2 bikes) and the anchor point. They were happy with a photo of my set up and of the locks themselves. I use velosure

Cheers chaps .. Just did a quick contents quote and its actually only a couple of quid more a month than the bike insurance on its own ! So as I have a house full of 7 years of marraige and 3 kids, I think the wise move would be to take that out..

Im stuck on where to insure mine too. As I dont own a home as im in the Forces and live on the camp.
I do have kit insurance though which covers all my personal stuff laptops etc. So I may see if they cover bikes too
