I was going to get my son the Commencal Meta HT 24 for his birthday but they don't deliver to my postcode. The joys of living in the highlands unfortunately.
What other good kids bikes are out there?

Could you not call in a favour and have it delivered to a friend/relative then collect it from them?

It means I'm going to have to drive a few hours to collect it and I'd rather not do that to be honest

I like the look of the Ripcord just quite a bit more expensive than what I was planning I think it's about £1300 which is quite a lot for a kiddies bike.
I'm in Fort William mate not even that remote

I will find out if they class Fort William as Mainland, we are not usually considered mainland, I am fine with paying for delivery though. Thank you !

Fort William isnt exactly the wilderness is it, stupid eh,we live in a 24/7 society and we can get stuff to the other side of the world easily enough, why not a bike a few hundred miles away?

I looked at the Ripcord myself but, like Rossco, can't really justify the cost of it. It's a bike that won't be used a huge amount before it's too small afterall. The Commencal is at the top of my list for the boys Christmas present but, I'll see how much he's sprouted up before then before buying one. You'll have to let us know how the bike is Rossco if you buy one. Good luck

I've just been reading about that Mondraker and it will take 26 inch wheels once the 24's are too small.

I've just been reading about that Mondraker and it will take 26 inch wheels once the 24's are too small. Yeah I know it's tempting on that regard it could basically last him til he was old enough to pay for his own bike. 2k definitely seems excessive though. Doesn't it? Please tell me I'm mad?

No, you're right, it's a lot. Even if it lasts, it's still a lot to spend on a bike for a 7 year old (in my case). Unless the kids are really keen and there is no chance of them losing interest, I think I'll still be looking at the Commencal come December.

They look good but again the kids full suspension option are expensive. I am undecided between the Commie and the Cube I need to make a decision tonight!
