Thought I'd stick up a couple of pictures for my weekends ride in the Lakes. I go to the lakes pretty regularly but never manage to take any pictures. Stayed just outside Ambleside of Friday night and woke to a misty start After the first short climb I popped out of the mist and into the sun A bit more climbing and I'm well above the clouds Cows on the climb made for an interesting line choice Typical Lakes bridleway here's Saturdays route AmblesideSaturday afternoon was dog walking time so we headed up to Alcock tarn which overlook Grassmere. The climb up was tougher than the morning bike ride and really took it out of my legs.Cracking views We move to Moor Top for Sundays ride. Kirky72 sent me the route for the forum ride around Grizedale on the 10th so it was rude not to give it a whirl whilst I was up here. Only took one picture as it was really foggy for the majority of the ride and I don't want to give to much away It's a tough climb about 18 mile in My legs where knackered after yesterdays walk and this just about finished them off. Heres the route, got lost a few time and had to keep stopping to make sure I was going the right way. It's a cracker of a ride. STRAVA

Bloody hell ..I'm surprised you can still move at all after that ! Glad you have described the Grizedale ride as a cracker ..and I recognise that climb you have posted up ..we went a little wrong just prior to your pic about half way up and had to retrace ..the drops make it all worthwhile though? Well done ..and sympathy to your dog!

There's a couple of really tough climbs, and I like a good climb, but had to push a couple of these. The descents have a bit of everything, rocks, big rocky drops, mud, roots, flowing and then tecky and then there's most The North Face trail throw in for good measure.
