Walsall are playing Chelsea tonight.. I'm going to need a full match report.. They're also playing Saturday I think and I'll need a much more in depth report on that match.. Thanks awfully.

Watched some highlights mate. I'd steer clear of any specifics as you'd get tripped up by that as she'd probably start asking in depth questions back and you don't want that Keep it general (Chelsea won 4-1 at Walsall), stuff like ... "I thought Walsall had a real good go last night"..."at least they scored a goal against the English champions, some prem sides can't manage that"..."it could have been much worse, Milton keynes Dons lost 6-0 at home to Southampton"...."bet you were proud that they didn't give up and kept going eh?"...."don't forget that Walsall were playing a side that cost about 200 million pounds, no disgrace to lose to them!" And of course..."Did you go?" "are the pies any good" "what did you think of the game?" ... Last one is good mate as it gives her a chance to talk about her team, which'll give her a warm feeling inside and help the process...while she's talking about them you just nod and smile in the appropriate places...piece of piss!! Good luck with Operation HR.

..and then before you get in too deep on the football angle just keep it real ..say you have never been to a football match before but would like to and would she mind if you went with her sometime ..added bonus that if they score you can "celebrate" the goal with her ! No loss of face / embarrassment if she turns you down ..but I'm sure your natural charm will win the day . You could well be trying a different kind of pie before you know it ! ( I've heard that Walsall pies are really tasty)

Good suggestion off our resident Northern lothario there, Jay. If it works and you do go with her to a game and Walsall do score, just keep in mind that goal celebrations at a live football match don't normally involve you standing there with your trousers and pants around your ankles and with a rose between your teeth. Well, not unless it's at Villa park where I believe that's quite normal.

Lothario...moi? Selfish & irresponsible in my sexual relationships with women ..that's so hurtful . You can ask any one of the 553 women I shagged last year ..and they will swear down that I used a condom ..it might have been recycled a few times ..but have you seen the price of rubber...

This thread has just reminded me of something. I can remember us Jay giving loads of (not always wanted) hints and tips on a Cannock ride just before Xmas last year.
We were not told the outcome.....?

I understand mate - Andy Watson thrusting his bits near enough in your face in the digs at Snowdon would have effected me too. I said all along you would need post traumatic stress counselling after seeing that sight

UPDATE.. I didn't see her today I've been mental busy (strange for a maintenance bloke I know) and spent almost 12 hours 110 foot up a crane! I'm not sure what pisses me off most, not being able to talk to her or only having one cuppa all day. Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I intend to make up for lost time (both chatting to her and drinking coffee)

What's all the fuss about? I've still got my kex on! Anyway Gaz, thanks for posting that. It is reliable photographic evidence that disproves Zulu's often quoted balloon knot story.
BTW I've just got back from a Snowdon trip with Mrs W. That photo reminds me that it's worth splashing out a nice room with an en-suite and king size double with pristine sheets. You don't have to put up with the chaos, snoring, disappearing tackle, farting and arguing involved in a forum group outing. (Not half as much fun though!)
