I'm very tempted to get one myself, even though I've got a full face and half lid. They do get amazing reviews as well.

I got one, it's very comfy without chin guard for long rides, nice and light and airy, it doesn't have much foam padding so it's important for it to be the right size. I've worn it lots but only as a full face for the first time at antur stiniog. As you may know I had a wee off and I did land on my head and scrape down the hill a bit, I had gravel and shit in the chin guard, it didn't snap so did it's job. It's not too hot and sweaty as a full face but I wouldn't wear for long pedally rides.
The attachment is supposed to be easy whilst wearing the lid but I've struggled to locate the relevant slots easily so find it quicker in the end to take it off and attach.

I've seen worse.
There was a lad and his fat lass riding sports direct specials with baggy sweat pants tucked In their footy socks going around the gisburn skills loop with what looked like full on motor bike helmets. I was sweating my bollocka off just watching them.
I know its good to get out and enjoy whatever you have and don't want to come across as a bike snob but I could barely contain myself when I saw these guys.
The flip side was following a couple of hard asses down the timing gate descent at lee quarry on their big dh rigs without helmets. They were throwing some huge shapes of the junmps unfortunately One of them went down hard. Dumb f@cks

I never had a helmet as a kid - but that was probably more to do with there not being many around 30'odd years ago. We all ride with helmets now - I make my kids wear theirs all the time. It's saved the youngests face a couple of times. Followed and passed a couple of guys not so long back on the Dog with no lids. And the number of kids without helmets is insane - it's not like they're expensive either. Even a cheap helmet is better than no helmet.

My man cave is a tip When just have the top part of the helmet on they feel massive and solid ... Will take a bit of getting use to.. And the catchers on the side are a bit tricky at first to use ..
