please help.......i had to call off a ride earlier in the week with kirky and ste. im on nights tonight but decided id go on a local ride today from home. i got all my gear ready last night, got up this morning after a bit of a lie-in, and decided NOT to go out for the ride but to stay in to finish off the kitchen worktops alterations iv been doing, and with no pressure from mrs sixo....................am i normal? ? yours...............desperate

Yes... I can see how badly this has affected you ..and to be fair it certainly is not normal behaviour ... A word of advice ..whatever work is remaining ..make a complete pigs ear of it ..the missus will probably flip and there will be a silent period between you for a few days ..but this is a small price to pay for the fact that you will never ever be asked to do any more DIY jobs around the home ever again ..the net result being more time to spend on your bike ... The do list grows at the speed you do the jobs and never gets shorter.
It's like being Michael Caine at Rourkes Drift. You shoot the zulu coming in the window , then shoot another one at the door........then another comes in through the roof.
You need to get out more. On the bike with your good and faithful mates.
