Has anyone ridden both? I'm undecided which one to buy.
I got to give this DVO build a test ride recently....
Any comments on which you prefer welcome.
Cheers Lee

Having extensively ridden neither of those bikes, I'd say demo them both for a while. Personally I'd go with the tracer, it's not something you see everyday.

Hmm..being a Nomad owner gen 1.alu frame ..it depends which model you are riding .Ive had mine from new in 2007 I tried a carbon framed Nomad a couple of years back and it has a completely different feel ..not neccessarily better . It also depends on what you want it for / type of riding Mine is a bit long in the tooth now ..technology has passed it by ..but I still love riding it .. People will be bored shitless of me saying this ..but the best bike in the Santa Cruz stable right now ( imo) ..is the carbon 5010 ..I had one for a week and it blew me away ..even with less travel I found it to be a much more capable machine . I haven't tried a Tracer ..so can't comment

Have ridden both on the same day, yep. And come the demo next year i'll ride them again, more extensively. Great bikes. The tracer (carbon) was superb. It was the only bike that has come close to me thinking i could sell my bike for. Still might. I felt like i was riding a BMX. It was soooo much fun. I couldn't stop smiling. Throwing it around everywhere. The nomad, felt a bit less playful and i wasn't happy with the setup. I felt like i was nowhere near it's limits because i just wasn't getting a long with it. Thought i was much slower. Checked my times and there was something stupid like 0.5 secs slower on the stages. So.....i think it could be quite a bit faster. Not the best review of both i know... I'll leave this up there for now.
Thanks for the info. I got the same feeling from the Carbon DVO tracer, it felt short and easy to throw around. I'm yet to ride the Nomad so I think I really need to book a demo before deciding.

Got my eyes on A Nomad myself. The tank getting too heavy? No mate, love the Mega. Waiting to see the new one in November and I'll decide then if I'm staying with Nukeproof or going for A Nomad..

The Tracer just looks the utter dogs...haven't rode either, but I'm a fan of being a bit different, too.
More and more SC's about all the time, there is a reason, I know - but the Tracer is a proper head turner.

I just don't like the tracer, it's got far too much going on, if it were my money I'd demo the Nomad

The option to upgrade to the Enve wheels is £1700 on the Nomad.

Good choice. When do the 2016 Intense's come out? What spec are you getting?
The 2016 bikes will be available in the UK from November according to Gravitate cycles. I'm looking at getting the 2015 pro build then looking to upgrade the wheels next year.
I much prefer the 2015 colour options to the 2016, have you seen the 2016? The red looks a lot brighter.

That's the top build so around 9k going off 2015 prices. The Pro should be around £5500.
