Anyone on here do any sort of races?
XC, enduro etc?
I wouldn't mind having a go but not sure on what sort of fitness/pace would be neede. For it to be worth trying, and I'm not sure where to start haha
I'm not particularly lightning fast and definitely still learning, but a lot of the time the riders I go with aren't as quick as me so I don't push my self to be better ,
I think training for a race/event or doing one would egg me on to push harder

Where are you in the world?
I'm in Scotland and done some of the Scottish Enduro Series which was excellent and well organised.
I would find something local to you and give it a whirl

Best bet is ask around at some local trails, someone usually has a good idea of what races are run and when, follow some events on twitter/facebook, they sometimes share some more 'grass roots' races. As for pace? Go at yours, if you try to go too hard to keep up, you'll blow out and suffer. Same applies to rides with mates really. Let's see how you get on when i'm back on the bike If you keep up or fly off in front, that's a good pace You could have a look at Run&Ride winter classic for starters early next year at Cannock. That'll give you an indication of where you're at. Where is the run and ride info mate. Might have a crack at that.

Don't think they have a date for it yet. I did this years Winter Classic. Was a good route but hadn't been well for a few days before. Will give it another blast next year.

Try the Kielder 101 next year ....101km of off road fun based mainly around the singletrack trails at Kielder & Newcastleton.. There was talk of changing the Km's into miles ..but after consulting with the elite level riders ( inc some endurance world record holders ) ..they have said that this distance was hard enough ! The winning time was 4:45 so there's your target ...! Me ? ..I was a Marshall ...credit me with a little bit of sense ...haha ..

Yeah, think it was early Feb. Scott MTB Marathon events are good too. My bad - Just checked and the Winter Classic was 1st March this year.
It was fairly low key with regard to what they had going on at Takeroo as there was some rare bird nesting, so no PA etc.
