Anyone had one of these? Either to get current bike set up or for a pre-purchase for checking frame sizes etc.? Is it worth it?

Not what I thought you meant .. I was thinking more along the lines of shitting myself on a technical down that was a little bit too edgy !

I'm sceptical that it would contribute so much to mountainbike fitting. Less so than a road bike anyway.
My logic, which may not suit you but here it is: I found I liked my Ragley HT so when I got the Orange full suss I'd got a good idea of the position I wanted (particularly the frame seat tube sizing and effective top tube) then tried to find a bike which would give me something similar. This meant going a bit big in the seat tube to get the ETT I wanted.

Andy offers a fitting service if you ring him he will talk ya head of and discuss all about the benefits of steel frames and alloy frames and just don't mention top tube length to him

Had one for my road bike made a huge difference in terms of comfort and power made me feel more connected to the bike. When I spoke to the guy about mtb fitting he said it's not really worth it because people have their own preference on bar width etc mainly it's just making sure the frames the right size for the rider.
