Following on from Malamutes thread about the price of Fox kit this year it got me thinking about how old some of my kit is, I go for practical/affordable over fashion and see no reason buying new kit if what I have still does its job. Tend to buy what I need , not what I like (hence I am still married  ). So what is the oldest bit of kit (no bike components) you still use? Mine is my waterproof jacket, not sure exactly how old it is but it is about 22yrs old, and still does its job perfectly so I see no need for another. Not sure how this thread will go, either a few will come out the woodwork or I will get a pasting for being a tight git......  |

Okay, so you bought that jacket when I was 3yrs old. I don't think I have anything from then that still fits.
My oldest bit of kit? Probably a jacket I've had since 2008, fell off the MTB and had to replace it. Still in the flat though if that counts?

I have an old Lowe Alpine waterproof that at least 16 years old ..re-proofed ..but never worn these days ..it's a back -up jacket ...
