My apologies for re -posting this on here ..it's also in mountain bike chat ..
Just a little add -on info ..both Saturday's would be all about getting there & back so if anyone is put off by the distance if they could get to Northumberland by midday ..car sharing could also come in to play with shared fuel costs ..I have capacity to transport a total of five bikes and one passenger ( if two folks have bike carriers that fit over aero bars ..I have one ) ..so 3 bikes on the roof and two inside ..someone else could transport luggage .
This really is a trip of a lifetime ..we know the area well ..and Dave & Colin ( I'm sure wouldn't mind the extra bods in their cars and the riding is fantastic ..so have a look and give it serious thought ..apart from myself the people you would go with are really nice too !
