Though I'd stick up a couple of photos from this weekends riding around Ullwater. On Saturday I rode from the campsite near Pooley bridge, up to the Stone Circle, back down to Howtown along the cracking bridleway to Howtown,up to Boredale Hause down into Patterdale then back along the excellent Ullswater shore bridleway. This was meant to be a bit of a warm up ride for Sundays ride but I'd fogotten how tough a route is could be,Ullswater shore has lots of rocky techy sections which really take it out of your legs! Weekends campsite Stunning views along the bridleway down to Howtown Looking back down towards Boredale (top section is hike a bike) Strava LinkMy plan for Sunday was to ride Highstreet so starting of following the same route as Saturday but from Patterdale head up Hartsop pick up Highstreet and then following it back down to Pooley Bridge.I've done this route before but the otherway round and in summer. The ride up hartsop quickly became a hike a bike and took about an hour by which time I was in up in the clouds and the temperature had plummeted You can see Brotherwater in the distance (which is were the climb started) and I had just reach the cloud level Good job I had a gps with me as I could see where the hell I was once I was in the cloud. Just dropped back out of the cloub and back on my way down Nearly back to Ullwaster StravaLinkA really good weekends riding but I'm expecting stiff legs in the morning!
