It could be carbon if not then the weld work is much cleaner than the photo from euro bike of black grey frame.

Still a bit tubby then the 275 is shorter top tube than the previous version which seems a bit in the face of the recent trends.

Facts, people. I'm not endorsing Nukeproof, but the 13.8kg is for the mid spec model, not the top end one, so it will obviously be a bit chubbier than the 13kg claimed for the top end bike.
Also, the top tubes might be shorter but the front and centre and reach is a hell of a lot longer (good). If you look at the reach figures, the equivalent, and much more useful measurement for sizing on MTBs than top tube length, they're quite a lot longer. The short top tube (despite long front centre) is because of the steep seat tube angle, which aids climbing.
