After various discussions within our local group ..it has been suggested that as the weather turns more & more crap ..we should head towards more trail centre riding over the winter months ..
Dave mentioned Mabie ..which I've only done once before but I've never done Dalbeattie which I quite fancy .or does anyone want to see us and raise a Kirroughtree ...or does Ant want to lead us on his Borrowdale ride ...I'm easy ..

I'm sure our crowd would come too ..I think it was last December when I made my only visit to date ..and really enjoyed it ..and you are right it does hold up well in wet conditions ...
Have a word with Jay and come up with a date and let's see what happens ...

On the basis of not having done Dalbeattie I wouldn't mind giving it a go ..but I have heard it is quite a technical route ( yikes ) ...
Happy to do any really and we will see which gets the most votes ..
It would be good to meet you Euan if you are able to make it ...

Up for Whinlatter if that gets sorted but it seems a shame with so much good natural stuff in the lakes.
Please please don't let ant arrange the borrowdale ride until 6th November or later.

Don't think I can manage another 3hr+ drive this weekend Kirroughtree probably best but Mabie really flows and if you stick to the red at Dalbeattie then nothing impossible for the likes of us In the past used to escape to Newton Stewart and do this lot ( not in a one -er )but now I have retired bit to busy for these treats - so will have to say no this time

I may get out in the afternoon locally ..and would still like to get to Dalbeattie sometime in the near future .
As yet I have not heard anything from the local riding group ..but will keep this thread updated should any decide to head that way ..
