Rite peeps ..
Just wondering wot gloves you wear in winter , I've used my endura windchill glove and apart from one very wet snowy nite when my hands did get bloody cold they never let me down just wondering wot you guys recommend?
sock woolie boolies with seal skins as well
always layer up
ive got some altura water proof trouser now.. Basically pissing water proofs ffs ...

Pretty much the same as me Guv, only I've got the On One Carnac waterproof winter gloves - seem good, time will tell. Add to that Altura Mayhem jacket - buff for the fizzog and one for the napper under the lid - sorted. The long sleeve Endura baa baa merino base layer is the best bit of kit I own though, warmth wise.

I was going to give Fox Polar gloves a blast this year. Just to match my jacket.
Wear under armour cool gear base layer. T shirt over that and then my jacket. Then nothing else due to me being hard as fuck.
Also cause I overheat like crazy might also be why.

From the top ..
It has to be bloody freezing before I wear it ..but a buff for under the helmet and a one around my neck ..if needed to cover my mouth too ..
Layers ..both base ..short sleeved Berghaus & as with Pez .the very excellent Endura Ba Ba Merino long sleeve ( one may be taken off if too warm ..)
If freezing I may swop one of these out with a pair of Pearl Izumi full length fleece bib tights ..un-padded
Under crackers Gore Windstopper padded Lycra
If really pissing down I will be wearing my newish Endura Full length waterproof trousers ..which I have really taken a shine to already !
If wet but bearable my indestructible Endura shorts ( can't remember the model ..but I've had them for years ) ..possibly with the bib tights underneath ..and the windstoppers underneath them ..
Jacket ..Endura MT 500 ..fantastic bit of kit ...
Socks ..pair of sock guys with sealskin ( thins ) over the top ..I don't have a dedicated pair of winter riding shoes at the moment so it will be the Bonty Boots that I bought in the summer wit possibly a pair of over-shoes ..we will see how we go ..but to be honest my feet very rarely get cold even when wet...
And finally to cover my other digits ..Endura Strike Waterproof Gloves ...

Endura Strike Gloves
Long sleeve or short sleeve high neck base layer (sports direct for bargains)
Long sleeve jersey
Undershort with padding
heavy overshort Endura Humvee 3/4 length
If its grotty full length endura trousers
What ever shoes I have with thick socks, numb feet suck
Buff an if its really cold no buff but a full face lid
Altura jacket of some sort thats rain proof

I do have fleecy Endura tight things but hate them, tbh. Very uncomfortable, keep slipping down - I maybe should have got the bib type. So I only wear them on snow rides.

Got to say I do the bib legging then shorts over them
Plus base layer Mtb top then a good jacket
Must be getting old now started wearing a neck tube ..
and taking a flask of coffee for the end of the ride wtf ...so I can stand gassing to Andy lol

It was -3 out frozen sand an ice. Go hunting here Baselayers |
