I threw my carrier away after it scratched the forks on the Chief on the drive to Bowderdale, my own fault cheap Halfords jobbie. I have no way of carrying my bikes either now but I'm fooked if I'm paying Thule prices - absolute fecking rip off. How much would it be to buy the whole jobbie for a car with roof rails only - several hundred? Cannock it is.

Extra thick gauge black plastic wheelie bin liner ..cut in half. It covers the whole of the back of my car with the seats down .front wheel off and Roberts your mothers brother .. I have a Thule carrier for mates bikes ..but mine stays out of the way of prying eyes ..

Thule all the way..
All you'll need to change is the 'feet' if you change car.

Thule are the best for that I will most likely end up that way as its was to costley to fit tow bar on a company car but for now I think the plastic sheeting will be the way forward
