Hitch a ride in a tag-along .... You know it makes sense... Best not to rush things!

I tired a cycle with man flu... I lasted 3-4 miles before nearly collapsing I definitely wouldn't risk it unless you feel yourself being close to if not 100% fit But yes a sidecar/pull-along is the correct way to go

you could go out take it easy feel the wind in ya face and the sun on ya cheeks, pump up the adrenalin and ignore your aches and pains.....or you could just stay in feeling sorry for yourself stcik the tv on and watch Richard and Judy or escape to the country and feel miserable

Lol. But i suspect my derailleur, and my hub .starts squeaking all the way loudly.. Some bunch of riders laughing at me in the end , as they thought my bike will end up in the back of landrovers (they collect damage bikes there i guess, saw some in the end) . Mate of mine dislocate his shoulder though ..bad luck i guess.

Bloody hell ... Who left all those bricks lying around ...someone could have done themselves an injury Photo don't do justice in that particular section.. 20:1 ratio rider that could ride it all the way down.. Me and my mates sat down in the bottom of it counting riders for fun in their OTB moments.. Most walk down. it starts here.

Nice one Wolfie, it was a great day but feeling quite tired this morning. Glad you have some decent photos as my phone decided to pack up half way round so i'll pinch some of yours! I saw the mountain ambulances on the last climb up to the Gap but the chap had broken his leg I think. I also developed a bad squeak on the second big climb but it went when I went through water so I assume it is dust somewhere. Really enjoyed the route but the last decent is not all that pleasant with those rocks however I did manage to ride it this year with the FS and only walked about 20 feet. Manage to ride the route in 5 hours and 22 minutes but was disappointed by the long queue to get up the first hill but I suppose 900 odd riders going from road to single track is always going to be an issue. My endomondo says 3483 feet of climbing and 3000 calories! Would recommed this to anyone but do some training before hand.

Well done i assume your mates finish same time as you and no injuries. ...was actually trying to tail you on first phase till the long queue then my riding buddy left me as he wants to get infront to make the cut off time for long route, i fall back with some riding mates who just ride there for the fun.. glad i did.. 76riders in my group finish with only one who dislocate a shoulder.. still fantastic result ...will defo go training next year though. Did you see that broken pedal in the trail? That is very bad luck ..i cant imagine that rider finishing with just 1 flat pedal (its made of crank brothers in cherry red by the way)
