Me and marcbrown are heading down to Afan on Saturday 4th Oct and I was after people's opinions on which trail/trails to do . We are there for the full day so could do a few of the trails or maybe just The W2 trail. Any suggestions  Just to rub it in , we are doing the uplift at BPW the day after too , any tips on what's good there? Cheers |

I just read in the news there has been extensive flooding at both parks, they are closed until Tuesday for repairs and getting water pumped out, unlucky guys  |

Cheers I've done the blade run both time I went there, an amazingly knackering final DH run (did do it in 30 degree heat mind), I'll see if I can find the video somewhere. As for BPW, you can do all the run in a day, I've been there 6 or 7 times now, start with a couple of blue runs as when you get some serious speed you can find yourself getting air everywhere. Most fun I've had biking probably, café is awesome as well, definitely go for the Hero burger. Afan video link |

Where are you from mata ? It's probably a 3 1/2 -4 hour drive for us to Afan .

Do the w2, park in Rhyslyn its free.. Halfway is the skyline visitor centre before the long agony climb. ..and try their flapjacks, there is none that could beat the taste.. If you still have legs left ..the penhydd would be nice finisher  |

Isle of Lewis mate... So that's a 3 hour Ferry journey just to get to mainland Scotland  But to be fair over the last 3 years they have made up some sweet trails in the local grounds, nothing huge or long but about 10 short-ish ones that all link up with paths etc so shouldn't moan... too much haha |

Cheers . Good video  . I've noticed that you can add half of the old skyline trail onto the blade . Could be another option but I like the idea of the cafe half way round on the W2 There is a hero burger with my name on it |
