It was a little crispy this morning with icy puddles, sheet ice in places and snow on the board walks, took it steady of course having to ride the conditions as much as the trail at times. Pictures from the top of the down hill line, there's more height to gain from there when I did there's was quite a bit more snow and ice.   The first couple of corners of the Hully gully were icy and I nearly list, kind of put me into safe mode for the rest if it, two guys in front of me both stacked it landing from the drop in to the hg, it was pretty comical. I gave them 5 minutes and then found them walking down after the giant berms. Roll on December 20th and possibly colder conditions. |

Sounds like you had a good one John, that drops not too big into hully gully but I can see how it'd catch some people out. I bet it was fast in places with it being so cold.

The dopes were just going far too slow, I think they had their front wheel to the lip and just pedalled off and went straight over. Funny!
Some of the roots and stones had a layer of iced dew over them making it fun in places.
My sinuses were killing me with a frozen face, actually in a bit of pain for the last half hour or so. It's been a while since I've been so cold. I'm going to find a balaclava I think.
