I was supposed to be riding with Eurobob this morning but had to cry off - all the Chase trails closed due to high winds - I said stuff it we'll just get out and do the Blue - but common sense prevailed, it's windy as feck and probably dangerous. Also, I got up this morning and promptly fell over! I'm all over the shop! don't feel bad or anything but can I feck keep my balance - bloody nights tonight too, weird. Ear infection? thing is I feel tickety boo apart from the room keeps spinning. (No, I haven't been drinking)

Still a maybe Glynn just been nursing one member of the family after another and I'm the only one now without the stomach bug. If I get through tomorrow and feel okay I'll try to arrange something.
Wednesday looks like beibg a reasonable day as well.

Glynn its better to plan without me to be fair as Ive had an hour or so on the static bike this morning and feel like shit now. I hope to catch up with you soon but bad weather and not feeling 100% is par for the course at this time of year. Mrs is working all weekend and I have 3 parties to take the kids to so no riding for me at the weekend either even if I feel okay.

Supposed to be some good stuff around Huddersfield but haven't a clue where. Also some good singletrack around Marsden and strangely enough running parra tell to the m62 from saddleworth. I have some routes in a book. I've ventured there yet but have several routes in a couple of guide books.

It's a pity your riding mid week.If you do plan anything on a weekend I'd would mine tagging on.

so for anyone who knows it, chapel gate was closed today, with a sign at the bottom saying CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE DCC. I hope they deal with it with the respect it deserves

Glad the Mega is working well! What do you think about the bigger wheels? Do you even feel any difference or is it just the overall package? As soon as I get mine finished around Spring, I count on you to take me on some good testing routes! Lol

As soon as I get mine finished around Spring, I count on you to take me on some good testing routes! Lol no idea wether the bigger wheels are any better gonzalo, my opinion is that theres so little difference in size, there wont be any noticable difference in performance, and as has been said before, (mainly on another forum ) theres far too many variables to compare pros and cons with a completely different bike and components. my main concern at the moment is that the wheels might not be up to the job as they were only a cheap set to get me going. iv always regarded them as a spare set , second to some good ones when i get them, which i hope will be pretty soon. yep they'll be plenty of peaks rides to try out the new build. think youre going to have to step it up as well with a lakes ride. hodgy and a few others know the lakes better than i do, and i dont know if youve ridden the lakes before, but the scenery will take your breath away

Ive been driving up there regularly and hopefully starting from March, ill be going up to Workington, every month, if not every 2 weeks since Im doing a job there. And my plan is to go on fridays or mondays and stay at a hotel…(so i can go on a ride over the weekend). LOL…the sights there are just incredible! Wheels…i really like the Mavic's…I've seen on Pinkbike some good bargains.

When I get the bike built, I'm usually always available, as long as I dont have something I can't cancel. And if I can match it with some of my meetings up Workington, even better!
