For no apparent reason when inserting the front wheel to the forks my Thru axle will no longer " nip up " on the thread inside the fork stanchion it's as if I've sheared a few mm off the axle itself ... Take the wheel out and re-insert the axle and it screws into place ...puzzling to say the least . My stanchion legs have a couple of bolts on each side at the bottom which clamps the axle in place ..so it's not like it can come free.. What's happened ?

Is the wheel seated right / does the wheel have new hub spacers. It could be a fact that wheel is a little to wide so therefor it pushes apart the fork legs and the axel won't be long enough to tighten ?
Can't think of much else haha

Nothing has really changed ... I did notice some play in the wheel after yesterday's ride and it needs new bearings ..but that shouldn't affect how it's seated ...I have either worn away some of the thread inside the fork leg or the axle has shrunk with all of this wet weather !

What frame is it? There are different type of thru axle - all habe slightly different threads. Found this out from the guys at nukeproof. Do you know what standard it was designed around?

Just looked back through your posts and found it was the Kingdom Hex - just read the review. That looks an absolute weapon! - Ti and carbon!!

Actually since then, they have updated the linkages to Ali. Chris from Kingdom told me the carbon, mud and grit were creating a few problems with time (makes sense to me). However going to Ali, allow them to lower the overall price of the frame, increase stiffness, and overall the frame also lost 300 grams. Also some further improvements on the geometry following the Bike Radar review. Hopefully the reviews are spot on and i won't be disappointed. I cannot wait! Fed up of looking at all the different parts I've got stored…LOL
