While a worthy cause there is a tougher event at Kielder in the same month ( as yet no details released ) the Kielder 101 ...while this is in km ..the terrain is tough and mainly Singletrack ..and there is a cut off time to reach half way around or you are retired . This is also a race not an event. I think Gaz is keen on doing it this year .. Your event will be bloody tough as it is though ..hats off for entering !

You guys are crazy.
I keep thinking of doing the Mary townley loop challenge which is a mere 47 miles but never felt quite there fitness wise to do it justice.
Maybe you could tackle that one as a practical loop.

I look at it like this I was a fat fooker last year and did it at my own slow pace so I'm hoping this year I'll still manage to do it fingers crossed but you got to train for it .. Last year will hill was my training buddy round the peaks we had some great rides ... Trouble is this year the Sod's have moved it forward March so going to be hard work .. With weather cold wet muddy trails but to be fair most of the trails hold up well You should join us on the bhf peaks ride .

Meant to say practice loop. The mtl could be a good ride to plan for early or late summer when everybody is at peak fitness. it would be good to have a cracking at it as a smallish group of around an half dozen. There's a charity event with support and food station so etc normally in September but it's an open route with reasonable signage. So fine to follow on your own. I've done many parts of it as separate rides but never had the balls yet to do the full loop. www.idonohoe.com/mountian_bike9.htmIf any body fancies it let me know. Best after a dry spell but not too hot.
