As per the title really…based on experience or if you were in the process of buying one, which one would you choose and why? The dropper is one of the final items for me to get now…i have my mind on Thomson Covert (had the external routed before for 10months with hardly no issues) but would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance

KS Lev Integra myself. Been through 3 reverbs and had issues with each of them, granted all were sorted swiftly, but it's the inconvenience of the issues. Went with the KS and not had an issue. The fact it's cable actuated just means I don't have to faff with bleeding.

Thing is they can all be temperamental. Some people have issues with reverts some have them with level. I never had a pro let with previous reverts whereas as my lev has been returned three times and had various things replaces including full internals so essentially a new post.
The lbs owner talked me into the level s he said he had stopped putting reverts on his builds as he had that many issues and it was costing him time and money returning and refitting them. He hopes my lev was a one off.

I've had a Reverb for just over 2 years without issue and a Lev since March, but it's started to drop about 15mm under weight, so it'll be going back under warranty in the new year, which is disappointing. Having said that, I prefer the Lev to the Reverb with the way it works. Kirky - what's the process for sending the Lev back, just complete the warranty form and return to Jungle, or do I need to contact them first?

I like my reverb and haven't had many problems, it does need bleeding quite a lot though, but thats not my job, I just keep the coffee flowing!! The OH has the specialized command post and loves it. It shoots up a bit sharp for my liking but it's pretty low maintenance as it's pneumatic and doesn't need bleeding like the reverb.

Yes...the Spesh Command Post is great if you want to sterilise yourself forever! Lol It's great to see how this thread is already making me think differently from where I was...specially on the KS Lev. Curiously, no Thomson! My previous one, after 10 months, had to have some loctite and tighten the collar nut...and I had now probably 1mm play up and down.

Was a bit of a drive away however my frames a bit of a pig to reroute and he paid the postage back. He was passed off after the third time. He was going to just replace it with a new one himself if it failed again. Jungle are pretty quick at assessing and fixing but don't seem to like admitting it's knackered and replacing with new.

Only got a KS eten - cheap but reliable. Had an issue with it dropping slightly but gave it a good clean and dose of silicone spray and now sorted. Only down side is it's steel shaft so quite heavy (around 700g).

I had both, snip and dropper…LOL…snip is not as bad as i thought TBH. Now a dropper is for me a must and I'm sure it as saved me from various crashes. if you ever get one, you will realise what everyone says. GET ONE! LOL Apparently the new 9point8 fall line is according to Pinkbike an awesome post…but i don't think you can get it in the UK yet.

Rlo ..I'm old school and of the opinion that you can't really miss what you have never had .. All I seem to read is how just about everyone's has gone wrong ..so I'd rather not have the hassle .. I have never ever thought while riding .."wish I had a dropper post for that section "

Cant say much on my reverb its not really been used that much, my old T-mars is bomb proof, ok has a bit of seat wobble but ran solid for two years without even a hint of care given to it. Touch wood the Reverbs been fine got a big glooping of muck on the way to work today after a "Shortcut" over some what I thought was just wet grass.

You've only got to read all the responses on here to see that everyone seems to have a different experience with the same items!
There is no 'correct' answer just what your own experience has been.

I have never ever thought while riding .."wish I had a dropper post for that section " Don't get me wrong…i admire people who still manage to ride without one…specially if down technical, steep, rocky sections. i would much rather just get a nice Ti seat post or a normal Thomson to go on the new-built…but I've tried riding with a dropper and there is no turning back now. Good on you for resisting the marketing pressures of society...

I've used reverb and spesh ones had 3 reverbs one last 2 n half years and was in constant use till it died and another lasted about 12 mouths and was replaced under warranty .. I will never ride with out one as well you come to something tetchy you can always drop the post and get low or off the back end .. Where as you didn't and your seat was up more chance of going over the bars .. Or faffing about lowering your seat .
