Well my impression of a dead weight at the back was perfect in everyway Absolutely knackered now but was a good if long day. At least I should be a bit fitter next time out. Thanks gaz for leading this. I am sure he will post pics at some point and I may be in a few as I was always last!!

Well done for surviving and going the distance Mike it looks a mightily tough ride. Going your own pace and managing whilst enjoying the ride is more important than positioning.

Hi Glynn, I think it would be excellent when a bit drier and I wasn't out on my feet. Too cautious and tired meant a lovely trip otb h halfway down.
Hi john, was very tough hardest I have ever done 3800ft of climbing normally takes me three rides to achieve. Lots of thanks to the other guys for supporting and waiting etc.

Every one did brill as it was a hard ride we had to cut shorts a little bit as the light was failing a fair bit of hike n bike as well due to the ground conditions .. I had a great over the bars on the hayfield descent over the water gullies... In to a bed to fast and bang bugger ..lol Perhaps should of cut kinder off but wanted to show every one the views but was quite wet under foot .. Still a brillant ride and everyone deserves a big pat on the back lots of banter .. Mainly aimed at me and something about they won't ride with me anymore  didn't feel the love lol Hahha Oh yeah coming down Jacobs as it was getting dark made it interesting .. |

Looks like you had a good ride compared to our disaster! One person was late so we hung on half an hour for her, then when we set off up WLT our phones started pinging messages from saying she was there, so we changed the route so we could meet her further on. Then an hour into it her rear mech snagged in the spokes and snapped in half jamming the chain solid inbetween the cassette and hub, we stripped it down and cut the chain out then made it singlespeed so she could get back, she went down the beast with Stu back to her car then headed up the visitor centre to meet us, whilst me and my mate carried on and did spud alley, lockerbrook, and a loop of the resi's, still got a 25 miler in though |

Could have been worse Macky ..my brand new rear mech jammed into my spokes and knackered 50 metres into a forum ride ( Bowderdale) last year ...delaying the group right at the start ..not what you want when meeting some of them for the first / second time !

 First climb of the day the old knackered road bit like me .. See Mike is streaming up the hill  I'm sure the road is still moving looking at the damage ..  Mike again looking good pal  Ian just having a min .. One of many stops  Havant got a clue where we were ?  I'm sure I'm getting the finger lol  After a fast down there is always an evil B up:(  Dave Ian and the big man lee at this point some dummy's were being spat out hahha or just picking on me something about next time they will ride with out me  Just come down from that side cracking descent very rutted up !!!  It's just stunning  It was getting very soft underfoot made it so much harder work energy zapping:( my water and Ian's had gone 3 litres oops  Lights starting to fail and just before we got to Jacobs ladder ... At this point we did Jacobs and the bailed and rode back down the road to hope ..  At the bottom .. Just waiting for Mike to come down  Random one of Mike   Wagon wheel but still love this bike Even after she spat me off ... Bitch lol  Just before I set off looking for Mike as he still wasn't down of Jacobs ladder .. Any way he came down as I was walking up ..don't like to leave it long now after andy off !! .. I managed t force a smile for the camera but there is a reason I am on lots and that is because I was always a long way back!! Vas could have had time to set up a full studio, compose the shot and still wait for me to come in to view.
Was great day though and stunning scenery I did enjoy it honest.
