Off work this Monday so me and brother in law are wanting to try somewhere new, it's a couple of hours drive from Leeds so is it worth a venture up?
BIL fancies Dalby but not too keen like!

But like anywhere a bit of local knowledge helps. Unfortunately I am not able to give it .. I have only been a few times and always with someone who knows where he is going... But there has been a lot of good work done there in terms of trail building.

YES.
It's one of the best trail centres in my opinion, with a proper mix of trails from steep to flowy, do the black loop then head up to do transmission a few times.

Best trail center in England in my opinion for fun factor, we used to do a start in lower car park and straight into a climb onto the back route that ends with an awesome rooty descent, session transmission, accelerator and nitrous from the red route, climb past the dh tracks do the jumpy red section that starts after the 4X then finish the black route back to the car park
Although it's been a while since I did the XC loop and I think some of it may have been logged and ruined

Hell yes it's worth it, but as hodgy said a little local knowledge wouldn't go a miss. Luckily I'm on holiday for a week after today. I'm supposed to be painting the house on monday but I'll see if I can get out of it and show you lads around if you like? I will confirm things later if you're up for it.

I was out of darlington in less than an hour.

As everyone else has said. A great day out. One loop will take 2-3 hours a bite to eat in the cafe and the head back out again. Black loop is about 14 miles. Dont expect a smile when you get your lunch from the cafe, bless her. Check out strava and make sure you take in the beehive trail which is not on any maps. www.strava.com/activities/85044480This was a ride from a year ago but covers all the good bits. Enjoy, I was there on Wednesday and the trails are bone dry. If it has rained then the trails are even grippier.

We'll definitely take in Beehives and maybe one or two of the unofficial trails

Great. Just wish I could join you, but now sitting in the North Sea at work. Always next time fella After riding there on Wednesday I certainly need to regain my confidence. You could say I was a little nervous coming down the triple tranny. The more I ride the better it will become. Even thinking about doing a "pro ride" course.
