As per title…every time i read about these, they are supposed to give you an amazing ride, bla bla bla… Would love to get the Thomson ones but they are stupidly expensive at over 200 quid…(the carbon costs less than 90 quid and weights less too). However Kingdom have now released some new Ti riser bars…price is not too stupid and of course since I'm getting the frame, maybe i could get a special price… But does it really make any difference? kingdombike.com/en/other_product/Kingdom-Components

I haven't but on the cost vs. weight vs. any minor ride difference, they're pointless really. They're the same weight as the toughest alu bar (Renthal Fatbar) going and more thantwice as expensive. Meanwhile, you can get Easton Haven Carbons (admittedly just 750mm) for less than £100 and half the weight. I've been on a set for a year and half and they do dull the high frequency vibration very nicely indeed.

I can see what you mean but exactly the same could be said about titanium frames/bikes…same cost of a good carbon but heavier and same weight as some aluminium frames. I would just like to really hear anyone who actually tried one…and not be biased of course because if i was to spend over 100 quid (in case of the Kingdom) or 200 quid (in case of Thomson) i would say it was the dog's! The carbon Thomson was under 90 quid…also "just" 750mm…lol…i wonder how wide will bars get since not so many years ago, a 700mm wide bar was "huge"...
