I wouldn't bother with this, unless of course you have hope pro three hubs already and don't mind three soft alloy sprockets to wear quickly before you need to replace the whole lot. Seems like one for purest of Hope fanboys and weight weenies.

I don't think my OCD would let me have an arbitrary piece of bright green on the bike anyway...LOL...I like Hope as a brand and their ethos and wish them all the success...but i quite dislike their graphics...too many unnecessary scribbles and a bit brash. Just my opinion. Surprised to see that its more than 50 grams lighter than the XTR...which is made of Ti and carbon even...so weight weenies will really like this as long as its cheaper than the Sram one...not sure it will be cheaper than the XTR. However i have to admit...10/44...i very much doubt anyone would ever need anything else...even though that last jump from 38-44 is probably a bit too far and i wonder how mech's will cope?

personally i'd rather have the more reputable Hope. I've had excellent dealings with them regarding issues and failures...

Hope are a cut price Chris King/ Santa Cruz. Undoubted quality but a rip off as you are paying for the badge. There are just as good products out there at half the price - if you know where to look.
And yes - the badge/stickers look shit.

You pay for the name Gaz. Fact. Being a fan boy doesn't change that. There are manufacturers out there whose gear is just as good - but haven't got the name.... yet. You just need to know where to look.

How much is said Hope cassette? On top of the cassette you need to buy a specific freehub that only works with this cassette. Some hidden cost there and also weight as the free hub is heavier than the standard one.

What if I told you my original (shitty?) Shimano BB is still running as smooth as on the Chief...bought in early 2014? What if I told you I have just checked the RF BB and rims on the Bird after 12 months - still perfect. I'm not disputing the quality of Hope - but I am disputing the blinkered few who can't see any further than a badge. There's a lot of it in the MTB fraternity. I'll hold up Sarky straight off. I know many more lads who are happy with SS gear...or works components gear..than aren't. If you've got the money, then great - get Hope or CK...all I'm saying is - there are just as good out there that haven't got the big name badge.

I'm a fan of Shimano BBs.. And CaneCreek. The XTR BB I have outlasted my Hope... And the Cane Creek Headset, also outlasted the Hope... The reason I Use Hope, is that I can get a bearing for them usually off the shelf at work for free... Nothing to do with name or quality to be fair... They're consumables like pedals cassettes chains..etc... The reason I wouldn't use SS or Uber, is because I've had particularly bad experiences with both... It's personal preference..

LOLLLOLLOLLOLLO! 10 miles a week!? Take it easy buddy!?
I do believe Hope is totally worth it too...CK, not so sure if the extra money above Hope is.!? However, if I didn't want to spend much cash, those Uberbike components when you hold them in your hand, are very good! The guy there, told me their bearings are better quality than Hope...but he would say that of course!? The price of a metallic Hope BB, is more than a ceramic UB!

Hope don't manufacture the bearings, nor do Uber... I'd imagine, being as though thre are only a few manufacturers of bearings.. That the likelihood is, they both come from the same manufacturer.. FAG, SKF etc...

I really like their UB metallic gold jockey's...will be on my bike at some point! Lol

This was all I was saying. Hope make great components, but so do others, it all depends if you are happy paying the premium to have that little green badge. What you do get with Hope, is guaranteed quality, no quibbles. All I can say is though, that in all my purchases off Shimano, SS, Uberbike, Works Components...every single item has been quality, with no issues. Green doesn't match my bikes either. Oh, actually, it was 10 km too

Talking about Hope...what do you guys think of their carbon bike? Its OK but there is something i don't really like the look of!? Of course, some people would give their arm and leg to have it.

Carbon isn't for me.. Particularly at Hope Prices... Just another Santa Cruz esq...Probably ridden by lard arses.. With all the gear no idea...
