the runs at llandegla are completely different riding to spud alley or the beast. much more flowy and undulating . theres nothing to catch you out, everything is rollable if thats all you want to do. there are no loose rocky trails like in the peaks. Trail centre, innit? S'why I like to do all of it - Peaks riding to Degla riding is chalk and cheese - both well worth doing though. absolutely!

I'm on the case to try to talk the kids and grandparents into a sleep over for the night of the 25th and spend the 26th together as my Mrs is working Saturday but I would love to attend degla for my first trip there.

That's good to know but what about the climbs, that's what I'm really into. Is that piss taking or actually true?!?! Are you saying you enjoyed those killer climbs today?!? The only trail centre i have ever done was Sherwood Pines...and i know that one is particularly boring...the bad (good really) thing about living where i live is that I'm 10 min (when i drive) from the Peaks...and i can leave my house and in 2 minutes on in the woods...which is why i don't tend to drive too much...however i want to start exploring the country and the trail centres, at least i can make a comment based on experience after. So, unless the weather is proper sh1t, or any other unpredicted reason, I'm going to Degla. Any riding is good riding.

I'm joking mate, mostly as some technical climbs can be more fun and a challenging sense, it's just a necessary evil. micks complaints must have drowned out my own yesterday climbing up that long steep and muddy one after Narnia, them again you were like half mile ahead of us all.

thats true it could be busy. when climbing to the top of the runs, you take a left to carry on climbing to the mast.then head down away from the forest heading south. i have a gpx if you need it anytime.

True...he was in pain!? probably still recovering from our ride on saturday... By the way...im now in for defo, and i need to finish the ride at the latest 2pm so that i can then go to Rockguardz to get the carbon protector moulded to the frame. How long are you guys planning on the ride to take?

I'm not too sure of a finish time but we usually do the red, stop for something to eat, then do the blue and have a play on the free ride area.

If we are starting at 9-30 / 10 in sure we will be fine! Worse comes to worst I'll have to stop earlier...it's around 30min drive to Shrewsbury. No black run?

I'm in for sure...don't really know where I'm going tho! Sat nav will hopefully take me to a car park and then we can meet at some obvious point! How much for parking? Can't wait (even though my back is killing me at the moment but hopefully by then it will be better)

If you set the sat nav for 'The Fisheries' that is just opposite the Degla entrance, if you set it for the trail centre for some reason you end up at a farm 2 miles down the road!!
Think it's 4 quid parking.
