Is that your way of saying you were once ghey too?!? I did wonder if Hodgy was going to bite!? Lol That's what you get, for riding with Gaz too much... Rubs off on you... I'm glad to report I've now come to my senses... Vaults are nice... My fave flats are the Nukeproof Electron Evos...

I know a guy who wants to sell some new Vaults, Mag with the Ti spindles...they are mate black with gold spindles and those little screws! I mean, those would look perfect on my rig with the black forks and gold bits! Lol...100 quid he wants for them from 170 RRP! Those Vaults Brendogs look sexy as do the Burgtec as well. Got a pic? They sound great. The brendogs are gorgeous too. Considering I have black forks, shock with all the gold bits, these would look great!

I would just get some new normal vaults for 70 with the peace of mind that you can return them if break within warranty.
Vaults are by far the best pedal I've had, not the lightest but the best.

If I get flats it will be either Vaults or the Burgtec's...based on what I've been reading, grip and durability mainly! I tried some 5-10 at Evans today to check my size! Maybe, next paycheck I will get some!

I have a pair of these for my spares, they look a bit special but then again most shoes do, for the money they are tough wearing and have lots of protection, grippy as hell and seem to transfer the power without the sponge like feel that some shoes have. www.stif.co.uk/mtb/product/five-ten-impact-2-low--flat-pedal-shoes-black/13414They have the nicer looking new versions contacts with a smaller discount. I do like the vxi Sam Hill ones but I'm not paying £100 or there abouts for shoes when i tend to need a few pairs on the go for mtb plus spd for the cx.

The old Shimano am41s were good the new version with the mid blue detail are supposed to be a massive step backwards. The spesh ones look good, the sole is supposed to be a little bit on the stiff side and the upper is perforated, not great for our normal conditions.

Considering I have black forks, shock with all the gold bits, these would look great! Get them bought!!! They would fit really well in terms of color co-ordination...and that is good for my OCD!? Lol...I'm still considering...

Gorge pedals, but after 3 rides they'd be scuffed and scratched to feck - what's the point? unless it's a display bike...just get summat that works for you without spending silly money?

It looks like most good pedals will set anyone off between 70-90 quid...if you go Ti spindles/axles it goes up towards 140-160. The Superstar now with 20% off are much more pleasant on the wallet. However those Vaults Mag Ti are 160 but he would sell them for 100. I'm going to leave it a bit to decide what to do...certainly until next payday. Then there is also shoes of course. I've been reading a bit on this and specially enduro-mtb.com/en/flat-pedal-group-test/DMR wins the group test but the Burgtec's are a really nice classy and simple design...and from what i read bomb proof.

Course it's all comparative isn't it? silly money to me may not be silly money to you. Most I have spent on pedals is 50 quid (the Mags) and usually I spend about 40. After that you are just saving a few grams, getting bling - pedals are no better. Having said all that I'd kill and eat my own Gran for some Brendogs. Burgtecs are very nice too.
